We can’t believe that it has already been two months since we hosted our first ever event in London!
We would like to take this time to thank everyone who came out to see our dance film “REBIRTH,” which was selected for the 2024 Screendance Dance Film Festival in Miami. To read more about REBIRTH, check out our last News post here: https://reshmadanse.com/rebirth/
Our passion is to bring people and communities together through the expression of art, especially in this current landscape of war and conflict. Music On Pointe provides spaces to share ideas and create understanding by sharing cultures through collaboration, keeping the principles of human rights at its heart. And we can proudly say that this event achieved the goal. Our audience was truly engaged and many were able to empathize with the topic of immigration or coming from an immigrant background from what is called the “Global South” to the “Western World.”
If you were not able to see REBIRTH in London or Miami, we also offer to share a link that is valid for 24 hours in return of a a donation that will go towards further fostering international collaborations between artists to create work for social impact.
Lastly, we would also like to thank The Lockdown Room in East London for providing their beautiful space. The Mojitos (as pictured) were amazing!
